Can Meloxicam And Farxiga Be Taken While Suffering From Diabetes And Lymphoma?
My husband has diabetes II and lymphoma. Can he take meloxicam and farxiga? He has a lot of itching and farxiga has not lowered his blood sugar or AC1. When he was using Actos, his blood sugar was in control and the meloxicam we think is causing his severe itching, muscle aids, muscle spasms and pain. Is it possible that one or both of them is not good for him. YYYY@YYYY
Your husband can take meloxicam and Forxiga together. There is no interaction between them whatsoever.
So far as the effectiveness of Forxiga in controlling your husband's blood sugar is concerned, your doctor should review the medicine you are taking and he may add another antidiabetic.
Actos is also good but it will have to be decided by your doctor. You should also make sure to drink plenty of water.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Prabhash Verma, General & Family Physician
