Can Meloxicam Be Taken After A Kidney Cancer Surgery?

I have been taking meloxcaim for several years. I just got over surgery for kidney cancer. My doctor never told me to stop with the meloxciam, so I have still been taking it. Another doctor that I use for pain management told me that meloxicam was not good to take since I already had problems with my kidney. Is this true.

Hi,

To be honest prolong use of melozicam (and all Nsaids ) is not advisable. He is right prolong use can cause kidney damage, beside sit cab also cause serious stomach ulcers so we generally avoid using melozicam for long times. So you may talk to your pain doctor for proper management of the pain rather then taking meloxican for ever. Hopes I have answered your question. I will be glad to answer any further question about this.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
