Can Merca Be Contracted From Person To Person?

I have a problem with my lungs. I was put o sleep and Dr Lisa Kopas said I had a rare fast growing bacteria I my lungs. She tried me with steroids Predizone and Cipro. I was really allergic to predizone. I could not sleep for days at a time and was so hyper I felt like I was going to have a panic attack. My Dr. Feels like I should never take steroids again. The Cipro cured this very terrible bacteria I. My lungs. I still has much significance Allergans and asthmatic conditions. I am trying to get my problem under control. My question, is being around someone who has Contracted Merca because of a recluse spider bite. Can she infect me because of my weakened immune system?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Is it merca or MRSA? Yes, it is possible that who are infected with MRSA bacteria may infect others but in ICU patients this infection is more common. I think you may be suffering from allergic dust or mites or pollen or house hold. Avoid cool drinks and freeze water avoid smoking. Use water vapor inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days. Use tablet Montelukast and Levocetirizine once a day for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
