Can Metformin Prescribed To Assist With Weight Loss Resistance Cause Recurrence Of Menier's Symptoms ?

Good morning,
I have suffered from Labarinthitis all my life, which over the past 6 years has settled and not been an issue.
My doctor has prescribed Metofrmin to assist with my weight loss resistance to every trial to time.
I am unable to take more than one tablet daily, as I have been experiencing symptoms of Meniers's, which as I stated I have not had an issue for over 6 years. I am 65 years of age.
My question, can metformin be the cause of this return of symptoms?

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
Metformin is an anti diabetic drug, cause hypo glycemia when used, means the blood sugar may come down and cause the sweating and dizzyness, That might have happened to you.
Though it is used in several other issues, if it happens you should stop using it.
Take more of green leafy vegetables, pulses, sprouts, and Protein rich foods to prevent vertigo, in abscence of the metformin.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
