Can Methamphetamine Or Crawfish Toxin Cause Numbness And Tingling In The Hand?

I have recently picked up a nasty meth habit as I am an addict. I started having problems in my right hand, numbness, tingling, cold sensations, and weakness. My question is this caused by meth or can it have been caused by crawfish toxins? The reason I ask this is, I had started working in a crawfish plant handling live crawfish constantly and I hadn t been using that much meth maybe a gram a week. Any thoughts?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

The numbness and tingling in the hands is more likely related to craw fish toxin which is known to affect the sodium channel conduction at nerve terminals of skeletal muscles rather than meth use. Kindly consult your GP on urgent basis and get further guidance in accordance to clinical evaluation of nervous system with muscle tone, reflexes and sensation levels.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
