Can Meto Er Intake Be Continued For High BP?

I am 60 years old male person. During a routine medical check up it was found that I have high BP 140/90 and Eco cardiograph result showed there is diastolic dysfunction. Doctor prescribed me Meto er 25 for 3 months. Due to some preoccupation I am unable to see the doctor 20 days after expiry of 3 months. Please advise can I continue with the medicine for another 10 days?

Meto Er is atrade name for Metoprolol.
Metoprolol is a selective β1 receptor blocker used in treatment of several diseases of the cardiovascular system, especially hypertension.
I think the doctor gave this treatment to control your blood pression.
This is a long term treatment so if you take it in the right way,the way that the doctor has prescribed, you can continue taking it until you see your doctor and probably you will continue taking it even after but your doctor will advice you.

So you can take MetoEr for another 10 days.
