Can Metoclopramide Be Taken In Place Of Bental?

Can I use the metoclopramide in place of my bental? Or are these medications different enough that taking them both will take care of two different problems? If I can only take one to cut down the amount of meds and the cost which of the two is the better option? Also the directions are different. I take the bental for the left abdomal spasams. The metoclopramide I have not yet tried, all I need is desperate pain relief! Thank you so much. Sincerely, Tammy Hall

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The effect of Bentyl and Metoclopramide is very different so they can't be taken for the same effect. Although they can be taken for the same disease but with different symptoms. Like Bentyl work well for the pain and cramps of the bowel. So if it's the only problem you have, you better use this. On the other hand, Metoclopramide is used for vomiting and nausea (feeling of vomiting).
