I am a 60 year old female..post menapausal; had 4 natural child births - all healthy and normal. about 45 lbs overweight..and at high-risk with permanent chronic Epilepsy(phenobarb, tegritol, lemectral ((for petti-mal)) grand-mal siezures) and a breast cancer survivor [very small lump..removed early with radiation follow-up..7 yrs ago] I have been coughing for 6 mths..and it has been attributed to allergies,,and im following that up with Zyrtec and pseudaphedrine, etc. A girlfriend just recently told me she had a dry hacking cough [like mine] that came on after starting a new blood pressure medicine..that made me wonder about my meds..i have blood pressure meds too; the pharmacy print out doesn t list dry hacking cough as a side effect...they are: Doxazon 1mg//Metoprolol Tarta 50mg//Amlodipine 10 mg. We are wondering if the meds interacting may be keeping this cough from going away; we are planning on meeting with our doctor soon, i just had blood work and xrays done. Our troubling thoughts is that there may be a hint of cancer around..or TB or something serious like that. We came from the south central San Joaquin Valley where Valley Fever spores exist, too.
