Can Montair Be Given For Cough And Wheezing In A Child?

Hi! My son is 2 years 9 months old, he came back from to Hyderabad from a trip to Agra and after a week developed ruunning nose and cough, homeopathic medicine bryonia relieved his cough within a week, he was fine for ten days but developed severe cough after that, he could nt sleep at night, doctors did a chest x-ray and discovered congestion, he had mild wheezing too.He was put on nebulizer at home, duapolin and levolin were administered.He has recovered but ped recommended montair granules mixed with rice for two weeks.My query is 1) Montair is for asthma so is it safe to give it to my son just for one episode of cough and wheezing? 2) How safe are nebulizers?
