Can Namenda Be The Cause For The Sudden Change In The Symptoms?
My dad was taking namenda 28 mg once a day. He is a veteran and started getting his prescriptions through them. They prescribed the generic namenda 10 mg twice a day. My mom said that his symptoms seem a lot worse since the change. We done know if it does have something to do with the change or if it is the natural progression of the Alzheimers. He is 90 years old and has had Alzheimer s for about 8 years. What do you think? Thank you. Marie
It is unlikely related to Namenda. Consult a neurologist and get evaluated. He can also consider drugs like Donepezil as it is very much effective and will prevent the progression of Alzheimer’s symptoms.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care

Dr. Shinas Hussain
