Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello Sir.. Since last 3 days my blood pressure is high around 145/100 to 155/105. Is it critical? Should I take any medicine to reduce the BP. I have Nebi 2.5 (contains Nebivolol) and Telma H (contains Telmisartan and Hydrochlorothiazide (40+12.5mg)). Please suggest if should take any medicine from these.
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. Since you are already on medication for blood pressure, the values you have mentioned is quite high and it says that your hypertension is not under control. Especially, the problem is more evident with increase in diastolic blood pressure which should be ideally below 90 mmHg. Instead of instituting another medication randomly, it is advisable for you to get evaluated by a Physician and then the medications can be added or altered accordingly. Kindly continue all the medications you are taking regularly. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
