Can Neosporin Ointment Be Used For Stye On Eyelid?
I am having Eye Stye on my left lower Eye Lid on Tuesday (15-2-11) and same
got burst OWN ITS OWN on Friday Night..
I can clearly see the Swelling is reducing and discharge is coming out of it.
My Eye Lids seems to me in shape 70 - 80 %.
I was bit worried the discharge might not affect my vision, so I visted my doctor
today (Saturday)..
1) tab zupar - TDS - 4 Days
2) Tab Agmentin 625mg - TDS - 5 Days
3) Moxicip - BD - 5 Days.
I am really confused to take such a heavy dose of antibiotic.
1) Can I use some antibiotic ointment like neosprin etc.
2) Does This discharge injurious to my eye sight.
I am regularly washing eye.. except when sleeping...

Well come to HCM
The stye can be well treated with local antibiotic and systemic anti-inflammatory drugs, for the local anti-biotic Neosporin eye ointment is the best drug and for the inflammation Ibuprofen 400 mg three times in day, some time the vision get disturb because of this but this is just temporary phase, and this comes around, hope this helps.
