Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello Doc, last week (Wedensday) I had surgery to get rid of a stye on my upper eyelid. The stye has reduced in size abit since then however has not completely gone and is still visable. I started to compress it yesterday. I was wondering is this normal for a stye?
There is minor swelling even after the procedure. It is quite normal and will settle by itself. If the swelling persists you can consult an ophthalmologist and get evaluated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
