Can Nestle Lactogen Cause Rashes In A Child?

Hi, my baby is 6months old and he start his first formula milk yesterday and I bought nestle lactogen step 1.After second bottle his body and face started getting rashes and become red..im not sure if he itchy but he did scratch on his ear.I do bit reading some said the milk is either not suitable for my baby or he might have lactose allergic.

Hi.. Thanks for asking Health care magic..

Yes there is possibility that your child is allergic to Nestle formula.. but he may not be allergic to other companies and all lactose containing food like milk, yogurt and other diary products.. so first check if he can tolerate other diary products and other formulas after rash get subsided.. make sure you have anti histaminic syrup and facilities to go for emergency care ready before you test as allergy may be severe sometimes..

Dont confuse with lactose intolerance.. where symptoms are different like bloating nausea diarrhea on taking milk and milk products..

So for now stop formula and give anti histaminic syrups for rash relief..
