I want to know if I can take over the counter cold medications (from Brands like Benylin) containing phenylephrine and guaifenesin? Some answers online say I shouldn t and others say I can but it might make me more drowsy then usual? is this the only Issue. Thanks

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

There are no known interactions between phenyephrine, guaifenesin and citalopram.

This means that these medications can be used safely together.

You can use the cough mixture to help relieve some of your symptoms.

I hope this helps
