Can OTC Medication Like Malox Be Taken For Nausea And Throwing Up While Being On Oxicodone For Pain?
My brother is taking oxicodone for pain...just got out of ER...looks like bone cancer. He cannot keep food down. What foods should he eat to help with nausea? Is there some kind of over the counter remedy , like Malox, he can take to coat his stomach?
Hi, Welcome to healthcare Magic! If there is doubt of bone cancer then it's serious matter not only vomiting and must be consulted with a local physician. If he is a known case of cancer then he may take the OTC medicines to ease the discomfort. Malox does not relieve the cancer and oxycodone induced throwing up. You may try Stemetil or Ondasetron for better control of nausea. Take on as required basis. I hope the advise would be informative and useful for you. Take Care!
