Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries
I can understand your concern. Olimelt is Olanzapine and the drug is an antipsychotic and mood stabiliser drug. The drug is relatively safe drug but it is associated with side effects like sedation, increased appetite, weight gain, rise in lipid levels, hyperglycaemia etc. These side effects are usually seen at higher doses. Your tryglycerides are 315 and your dose is 5 mg per day. If your weight is normal then I don't think there is any contraindication to use of this drug. No need to worry. Take the drug as per your prescribed doses only.
Thanks, Hope this helps you. Take care Dr. Seikhoo Bishnoi Psychiatrist
