Can Omega-3 Affect Bleeding Time?
Hi Dr. Rynne, My neurosurgeon has me taking 4,000 units of Omega3 daily, leading up to my brain stem surgery. Today I saw my cardiologist. He told me I should stop the Omega3 because it affects clotting time. He told me 4 of his patients bleed to death, because they were taking Omega3 and he did not know about it until it was too late.
