Can Omega 3 Supplement Be Taken While On Tamoxifen, Meloxicam And Zolpidem?

I am a recent cancer survivor and am on a few medications. Tamoxifen, Meloxicam & Zolpidem. I have been recommended to take Fish Oil/Omega 3 tablets for my Osteo arthritis in my joints/post Chemo treatments. I have read this website and see many benefits to taking this supplements but do want to know if there can me absolutely any counter action that would effect my medications for effectiveness.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Omega 3 is a booster for Tamoxifen, it helps its effects much better for the body. Omega 3 with meloxicam are reported to cause influenza, chills, lupus syndrome, pain in extremities, asthenia, visual disturbances, thrombosis, skin ulcer, pallor, and peripheral coldness. Omega 3 with zolpidem, no interactions found in database.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel
