Hi,

It seems you have a relapse of symptoms of ulcerative colitis (UC). A repeat dose of steroid can be started.

A new glucocorticoid for UC, budesonide (Uceris), is released entirely in the colon and has minimal to no glucocorticoid side effects. Budesonide is effective in reducing relapse rates.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
