Can Orphenadrine Citrate Injection Be Taken While On Hydrocodone?

Is it ok to take orphenadrine citrate injection while I am taking hhydrocodone? I recently had a Laminectomy of L-2 thru L-5 and the repair if a herniated disc. My dr has given me thevhydrocodone andcRoiboxin. I am away from home ( in a different state) and will not be home until Next Saturday. And I am out of the Roiboxan A doctor here wants to have me take the Orphenadrine Citrate Injection (60 mg) in the place of thevRoiboxin until I get home and I was wondering if it was safe to do?

Hello,

I do not support that suggestion I am afraid. Orphenadrine and Hydrocodone increase each other effect and toxicity. There is a higher risk of side effects such as respiratory depression, sedation and decreased consciousness. So I do not consider it safe.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
