Hi I am a 23 yrs old female and for the last few months I have been suffering from frequent urination. I have become depressed due to this...been to several doctors but to no avail. I have done tests and I have no infection either and my sugar readings are ok (I have been tested 3 times) . I have been recently diagnosed with Polycystic ovary syndrome. Can PCOS or stress cause frequent urination. I also occasionally suffer from dry mouth.
GOOD EVENING MADAM.....I HAVE GONE THROUGH YOUR QUERY....FIRST OF ALL LET ME CLARIFY THAT STRESS CAN RESULT IN FREQUENT URINATION,DUE TO INCREASED STRESS HORMONE LEVELS IN BLOOD NAMELY STEROLS AND NOREPINEHRINE.PCOS PER SE DOES NOT RESULT IN FREQUENT URINATION.SINCE YOU ARE IN SEXUALLY ACTIVE AGE GROUP,THERE CAN BE FEW INFECTIONS LIKE FUNGAL INFECTIONS EX VAGINAL CANDIDIASIS WHICH CAN RESULT IN FREQUENT URINATION MEDICALLY REFERRED TO AS "POLYURIA"..SUCH INFECTIONS CANNOT BE TRACED IN NORMAL ROUTINE BLOOD AND URINE TESTS.YOUR AGE IS ALSO HIGHLY UNLIKELY TO SUGGEST DIABETES.I ADVICE YOU TO TAKE PRESUMPTIVE TREATMENT-ANTIFUNGALS.TAB.FLUCONAZOLE 150mg one tablet.RESTRICT WATER INTAKE TO 2.5 TO 3 LTRS PER DAY.INDULGE YOURSELF IN REGULAR PHYSICAL EXERCISES AND DESTRESSING ACTIVITIES.I ASSURE YOU WILL BE QUICKLY RELIEVED.ULTRASOUND SCAN ABDOMEN FORMS LAST RESORT INVESTIGATION IF SYMPTOMS ARE NOT CONTROLLED IN I WEEK.....THANK YOU
