Can PCOS Occur In Females With Hypothyroidism With Cyst & Frequent Urination?

I have Hypothrodism.I have cysts on my ovaries but blood tests doesn't show elevated testosterone so doctor says I don't have PCOS. But I have have symptoms like frequent urination and not ble to controlmy hunger etc. One doctor recommended metformin to me. After starting metformin I am ok. But how do I find out if I have PCOS and need to keep taking metformin.
