Can Panadol Osteo Tablets Be Taken 8 Hours After Taking Codeine Tablets?
I am on 4 to 6 Panadol Osteo tablets a day. I had an infected gum after a molar extraction, and the chemist advised to use codiene to lessen the pain in my gum. I stopped taking the Panadol Osteo for a week. I now want to get back to Panadol Osteo. Can I start taking the Panadol Osteo say 8 hours after my last codeine tablets? David
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that if the pain has not yet subsided after more than a week also then there is a possibility that you have developed Dry Socket that is a non healing socket due to loss of blood clot in the initial phase of healing..
Blood clot is responsible to initiate healing.. I would suggest you to first of all get an oral examination done by a dentist and not simply keep taking painkillers.. As in case if there would be dry socket then a dressing of zinc oxide eugenol will be placed every alternate day to promote healing followed by a course of antibiotics and painkillers..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
