Can Pantop HP Kit Be Used During Pregnancy?

Hi I am twelve weeks pregnant and i have gastritis problem & used to vomit blood and when endoscopy is done it s diagnosed as superficial ulcer in intestine and doctor has suggested pantop hp kit for 2 weeks is it safe during pregnancy? I am little worried !

Yes, they can be used as prescribed by your treating doctor.

Pantop HP kit (Clarithromycin, Pantoprazole, & Amoxicillin) is commonly prescribed to treat & eradicate Helicobacter pylori infection which might be responsible for gastric (stomach) or duodenal (intestine) ulcers.

There's no significant association between the use of these medications during pregnancy and the risk of major birth defects hence can be used safely during pregnancy. Please complete the course as suggested by your doctor.

Take routinely prescribed iron and folic acid tablets along with these medications
