Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been suffering badly with anxiety for a few weeks and today I ve decided to give kalms ago to see if it can help with my stress, worry and sleep disturbances! Is it safe to take paracetamol with kalms as i am experiencing ear pain from a build up of wax. I m using drop also perscripted from my doctor
I can understand your concern. Paracetamol is a non steroidal anti-inflammatory drug that is used to control pain and fever. Kalms is an anti-anxiety drug that helps you calm down from anxiety.
Both these medicines have different mechanisms of action and they work on different areas of the brain to cause the desired effects. There is no harm in taking them together for different purposes.
However, I would advise you to visit a mental health professional or psychiatrist for starting anti anxiety drug as they are better judges of the problem and can guide you in the correct direction regarding medicines that your mind requires.
I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. I wish you feel better soon.
Best, Dr. Viraj Shah
