Iam currently taking Xantax for Anxiety. I ve been on it for almost one year. My dosage is 1 miligram n I take it once a day. My Dr wants to take me off of it because he s afraid I will become addictive to it. My RX reads take I pill every six hours. I only need 1 pill per day. It is helping me. If he takes me off Xanax can I take Paxil in its place as Paxil is not addictive I ve been told. Idk what other med I could take to help my anxiety. He also had me take Effexor along with Xanax n said it would help me better. So should I suggest Paxil when he takes me off the Xanax? Should I be weened off of Xanax n Effexor? I have a appt soon n am concerned. Thank you.
