Can Paxil Cause Amenhorrhea Or Should Pregnancy Be Ruled Out?

Hi I started paxil 5_6 weeks ago. I should have started my period 2 weeks ago. I spotted off and on for a week (always do the week before) but no period..I took a hpt. And it was negative. Should I go to doctors or wait it out? Can paxil cause missed periods?

hi very uncommonly the psychotropic or anti depressant drugs cause menstrual abnormalities.but possibility cant be ruled out.as your hpt is negative,i feel you can wait and watch.if u develop some other symptoms or if you are anxious,you can consult a gynaecologist.take care.bye.
