Can Penicillin And Macrobid Be Taken Together?
I had a cystoscopy today and they gave me penicillin. They told me to continue my other antibiotics as normal until finished, which is macrobid. If I had the procedure at 3pm and was given the penicillin is it safe to take the macrobid tonight at 9pm before bed? I also took one this morning before the procedure as directed. Should I take second dose tonight or wait until tomorrow?

Macrobid is a 'urinary tract antibacterial' drug which exerts antibacterial activity only in the urine and hence used in the treatment and prevention of lower urinary tract infections like cystitis.
It is usually given twice daily.
There's no documented harmful interaction between Penicillin and Macrobid hence they may be taken as prescribed.
