Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i dont have allergy with penicillin. i took penicillin as prescribed by doctor for my tonsilitis. the swap test resulted to negative strep infection and stop me from continuing the medicine. at that time i have cough but didt prescribe cough syrup. can i continue my antibiotics because i still have dry cough ?
I don't think you need to take antibiotics for dry cough. If it is persistent and makes discomfort then I suggest you take Syp for dry cough like Ascoril D.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Naira Jahangir, OB and GYN Specialist
