Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I took Plan B on June 6th after a condom broke. I had also taken it in April for the same reason, and had a late period. I started (what I thought) was my period this afternoon, but bleeding has more or less stopped. Could this be a side effect of taking Plan B twice in 3 months? Or could it be implantation or breakthrough bleeding?

Can Plan-B Cause Breakthrough Bleeding?
Hi, Based on the history you have shared, plan B tablets can cause hormonal imbalance and thus interfere with normal periods cycle. But for reassurance the chances of implantation bleeding should be ruled out urine pregnancy test and if still unclear with an ultrasound pelvis. If abnormal Bleeding Persists a gynecologist review for any other pelvic pathology should be done. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
