Hi my husband has had two stents put in last week and now on Plavix and a beta blocker. He is feeling cold and this is unusual for him. He is also taking other meds for type 2 Diabetes and high Cholesterol and High blood pressure. Is this a side effectif the new meds?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Beta-blockers are known to cause cold and clammy skin as one of their side effects due to a low cardiac out put (slow heart beat). Consult his doctor for either its dose adjustment or an alternate effective but a safer medication.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
