Can Postinor 2 Cause Delayed Periods?
I had unprotected sex on 23 January 2016 at 01:00 am and took postinor on 23 January at 15:00 pm, but I suppose to ovulated on 27 January and get my periods on 11 February but till to now I didn t see my periods,,is the a chance am pregnant and for how long postinor suppose to delayed periods?

Yes, postinor 2 can cause delayed periods. Actually, delayed periods are common side effect of intake of emergency contraceptive pill such as postinor-2 which contains levonorgestrol hormone which disrupts your menstrual cycle and causes delayed periods. Your periods could be delayed for 1 to 2 cycles. As you have taken postinor 2 within 24 hours of sexual intercourse, therefore pregnancy possibility is less in you. Don't take postinor-2 or an emergency contraceptive pill too frequently. Use condom or regular contraceptive pill regularly as method of contraception in future. Regular contraceptive pill or condom is more efficient method to prevent unwanted pregnancy and have lesser side effects. Emergency contraceptive pill can cause irregular bleeding and other serious side effects. As there is no method of birth control which is 100% effective, you should also do a pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy.
