Can Postinor Intake Cause False Pregnancy Test Results?
My girlfriend claimed she saw her period on the 9th of march we had sex on 13th gave her postinor 2 in space of 4hrs. She started complaining of vaginal bleeding a week after she prompted me to place her on a non steroidal drug for a week. The bleedin didn t stop, ran a pt test on the 1st of april and it came out positive is there any chance the postinor 2 is giving a false postive result. Cause I also did a pelvic ultra sound scannin on the 2nd and there was nothing...
HCG and ultrasound both should be done as sometimes pregnancy at other places can happen like tubes carrying eggs etc., these levels and USG can tell if ectopic pregnancy is there. It should be 2 tablets once immediately and other exactly 12 hours after the first. One should not be pregnant before also. At most 5% always these pills can fail. Take her to gynecologist and make comfort.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
