Can Predmet Be Taken Twice A Day For Treatment Of Cold And Cough?
Hello doctor, my mom is 60years old, she is suffering from cold, wet cough. She is also taking inhalers, but it is not supporting that much. Now doctor suggested PREDMET 16mg per day at a time 2 tablet with gastric tablet. Can be taken 2 tablets at a time? Can be taken in the morning after breakfast? Please suggest me.
Predmet (methylprednisolone) is a potent steroid commonly prescribed for the symptomatic relief of such as pain and swelling in various conditions like arthritis and allergic disorders including bronchial asthma. It may be given in the dose of 32 mg orally once a day (after the breakfast) or in 2 equally divided doses along with antacid until the symptoms resolve.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
