Can Prempro Tablet Be Used Long Term?

I have been on prempro for over ten years with no side effects and it really did the job. My doctor has taken me off of prempro and I have been in a living hell every since. I am 62 yrs, old and started menopause at 52 yrs. old. Why can I not continue with prempro? After ten years I think I am reasonably safe and I am on the other side the life anyway. Thank you.

Prempro is a hormonal replacement therapy that aids in overcoming the menopause associated symptoms. Nevertheless taking it for rest of life is not recommended since it poses risk of developing certain kinds of cancer in the female body. 10 years was already long time, I think the doctor was right in taking you off the medication, the bad feeling you currently have is very understandable please have some patience and things will become better, if you have specific symptoms that disturb you please communicate them with your doctor and there is always a way for making you feeling better.
