Can Primolut N Be Taken For Irregular Menstrual Periods?
Hi, I have irregular periods.last month I had them on 2 June and now it is 11 of July.... And I am not sexually active. Will primolut n will help out to get them as soon as possible, if yes then what should be the dosage n for how many days should I take it.
Hello dear Understand your concern Yes you can take primolut N for irregular period but under the advice of gynaecologist after finding the cause of delayed/irregular period. I think following possibility of delayed period in not sexually active: Ovarian cyst/PCOS, hormonal imbalance, Stress, change in life style and eating habit, thyroid disorder. Following investigations are required: Reproductive hormone analysis, thyroid hormone analysis, USG scab and ovarian follicle study. In hormonal imbalance and PCOS, primolut N or OCP should be used to regularize the period. Primolut n 5 mg twice daily should be taken for 5-7 days. Once you stop the drug bleeding will come in next 4-5 days. But if similar problem occur in future then you have to use primolut N in second half of the phase for 4-6 cycle or birth control pill regularly for 4-6 cycle. So consult the gynecologist and take proper mediation after evaluation. Hope this may help you Best regards Dr. Sagar
