Hi doctor ! My concern is i hve 10 months old. Abay n iam breastfeeding her .i was bleeding frm last 20 days this my third period after after child birth my bleeding is heavy n not stoping so my dr prescribe me primolut N thrice daily for 10 days twice daily for 10 days daily one tablet for five days is this tablet is safe while breastfeeding . Reply will be highly appreciated
Yes, it can be taken safely while breastfeeding. Primolut-N (Progesterone hormone) used in various conditions including to regularize the periods. Although it is secreted in the breast milk but the its quantity is not sufficient enough to have any adverse effects in the suckling baby. So, it can be taken safely during breastfeeding as prescribed. Beside you can start giving semisolid foods like mashed potato or oats to your baby.Hope these answer your queries.
