Can Primolut Be Taken To Delay Periods?

Hi! I am going on vacation on the 7th of September and as of my count I may have my period by that time. We have long planned this vacation and I dont want to spoil this one. Is it advisable to take Primolut? And for how long should I take it? I only want to delay my period And the side effect mentioned was weight gain, I wanted to know how long should you take the said drug for it to appear? Thanks for the help!

Hello,
Thank you for trusting HCM

Primolut N is used for postponing periods. Dosage is 5 mg twice daily, starting 10 days before the expected date of periods. Continue the medication until the date you want your period to be postponed. Once the medication is stopped, bleeding can be expected in 4-5 days. Weight gain will not occur with short-term use of Primolut N. The medication needs to be taken for few months for developing weight gain.

Hope this answers your question
