Can Prochlorperazine Be Taken For Nausea And Vomiting?
My daughter had kidney stones blasted with radio waves this morning. She is nauseated right now! She has some prochlorperazine 10 mg for nausea and vomiting. It is dated 09/01/15. Is this ok to take? They did not give her anything to take at home! Just thru the IV

Vomiting is quite common after any surgical procedure and may be due to after effects of anaesthesia. You can give her Prochlorperazine for vomiting and nausea. It is a D2 receptor blocker and is quite effective for nausea and vomiting following surgery.
