Can Propranolol Intake Cause Erectile Dysfunction?
Im 21 diagnosed with a mild MVP and i started taking Inderal 10mg (propranolol) for a while as it helps keeping my heart rate down .. But for a couple of weeks i started feeling my erection isnt so firm and i have decreased sex drive , i read its a common side effect of propranolol .. Can this small dose be the reason or is it just anxiety and psychic reflex when i read the article ? something else please how can i stop the b-blocker if im taking 1pill(10mg) a day now?
2. Since beta blockers are time tested drugs that reduce cardiac mortality due to IHD and sudden death due to arrhythmia thus your Doctor has prescribed you the same outweighing advantage over disadvantages.
3. Consult with your attending physician regarding the same who will alleviate your anxiety and if necessary might prescribe an alternative drug, preferably a calcium channel blocker and other coronary vasodilators.
