Can Ranitidine Cause A False Positive For Methamphetamine In A Mouth Swab Test?
Husband tested positive on a mouth swab test at his physicians office. They were testing for drugs he was prescribed, but said he tested positive for methamphetamine,. At least one prescribed drug, ranitidine, I do believe can cause a false positive. He takes 300mg tablets. Now they are denying him the norco ten s he needs for his spinal stenosis, and R.A. what can be done?

If it is true that general isn't using methamphetamine he can repeat the test.
Ranitidine doesn't cause false positive for methamphetamine.
Probably the test he did is false positive.
