Hello,
Thank you for your query.
Ondem syrup helps to prevent
vomiting if it stays in him long enough for it to act. Taxim-o is an antibiotic which should have helped by now.
*how many loose stools is he having a day? What colour? Any found smell? Any mucus or blood seen?
*does he have a fever?
*how is his urine? How many times does he pass in a day? What colour is it
*does he have tears while crying? Does he cry when he passes urine or stools?
*how is his activity levels?
*does he have a cold?
*does he vomit? How often?
If he is about able to eat or you are able to hydrate him properly, he needs to be admitted for
intravenous therapy, especially if this has been going on for a week.
Please see his
pediatrician right away.
In the mean keep giving him sips or oral rehydration solution and water, tender coconut water, rice water with salt. A teaspoon every 5-10 minutes helps a lot in Hydration.
Give fluids and avoid milk. Breast milk is good. Please continue that. Cows milk and sugar is best avoided. Honey is fine. Helps to soothe the stomach and intestines.
There is an oral strip of Ondem (ondasetron). You can use that if he is not drinking the syrup. One strip in 4 mg. You need to use just half strip.
Apply it on the tongue. It absorbs in a few seconds.
You can feed him 30 minutes later.
Hope this helps.
Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with. Hope he feels better soon
