Can Retacnyl Cause Dryness Of Lips?

I have been prescribed Retacnyl to help with chronic clogged pores. i can find nothing that says it is useful for this purpose. Additionally, it seems like my lips and even the inside of my my feels like it is chapped and this is a new sensation. i live in a very hot humid climate, so it is not due to winter dry air. Even though I am careful not to apply close to the mouth, can the effect of the Retacnyl be causing this dryness?
