Can Rinifol Be Given To A Child For Treatment Of Fever With Stomach Ache?
Hi,I have a 3.5yr old daughter.Few 3 weeks back she had stomach ache and 100-101 fever she recovered in 3 days now again from morning she is complaining of same thing and vomited as well can the same problem repeat so fast and should I give rinifol to her?
Rinifol is for providing bacterial flora to intestine in case of diarrhea in routine practice.
If there is suspected loss of GI flora, then only Rinifol wiill support better recovery, otherwise GI specific antibiotic as Metronidazole Anti spasmodic medications as Mefenamic acid with paracetamol suspension and supportive dietary care with plenty of liquids.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Wishing you all the best.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
