General & Family Physician 's  Response
sudafed can cause dangerous side effects with many drugs. If the patient has diabetes, hypertension and heart disease or thyroid disease it is better to consult their physician and take opinion regarding use of sudafed. anti hypertensives have dangerous interactions with sudafed.so it is better to go for milder anti histamines like chlorpheniramine or cetrizine for attacks of cold.
