Can Susten Vaginal Suppository Be Used In The Third Semester Of Pregnancy?
Hai doctor.. IAM carrying a baby with 21 weeks .. in my recent TIFA scan I was diagnosed with Retroplacental clot measures 32x39mm in lower end of placenta , my gynecologist have suggested me to take an injection proluton Depot (progesterone ) 500mg for 5 weeks I have taken it .. my cervix length is 2.9 cms .. in order to maintain the pregnancy can I continue my susten tablets 200mg through vaginal till my third semester does it has any complications in using susten tablets .. Hi,
Thanks for asking I understand your concern.
It is clear that you need hormone progesterone & rest to protect your pregnancy .
You also have a blood clot in placenta ( with possibility of repeat episode). Your cervix is short. It is not advisable to insert vaginal pessary in such a condition.
Please stick to doctors advise & take injections as advised. Also ask about further dosage & route of medication to treating doctor.
