HI Thank for asking to HCM I really appreciate your concern if you had a history of pulmonary tuberculosis and it had been treated successfully but while taking the x-ray the fibrosis of a healed lesion could be detected the would be suggestive of old healed tubercular lesion turned into fibrosis, some time such patients may became carrier and to rule out this sputum is taken to find out the bacteria although this very rare condition, hope this information helps you, take care and have a nice day.
