General & Family Physician 's  Response
hello,
i can understand your concern. Discard the existing taxim o drops. I would advise you to complete any medication courses that the doctor has prescribed from next time onwards. Stoppage of antibiotics midway would lead to antibiotic resistance and this is harmful in the longer run.

Your baby seems to have acute gastro enteritis. Preventing dehydration is the most important step. Continue feeding the baby with mothers milk at 1 to 2 hr intervals. Take a fresh bottle of taxim o drops and give it for five days. If the baby appears lethargic or not that active, intravenous fluids have to be given. I would recommend you to contact your pediatritian if you notice such signs.

Hope this helps. Wishing a speedy recovery
