Can Teczine, Ventex T And Kidpred Be Given To An Infant For Cough And Wheezing?

Hi...my 8 month old baby boy s suffering from cough and slight wheezing....doctor prescribed TECZINE(levocetirizine Dihydrochloride Syrup)- 2.5 ml ,VENTEX-T(Ambroxol HCL,Terbutaline Sulphate Guaiphenesin Syrup) - 3.75 ml and Kidpred(Prednisolone Sodium Phosphate Syrup) - 3.75ml 2 times daily.....i just want to take a second opinion before giving these medicines to baby...is this prednisolone is steroid....???is t safe???

Hello
As you stated int he query , your son might have some asthmatic allergic bronchitis . This is a very common problem in children , so need not to worry .
This is caused by some allergen .
As , when allergen inhaled in the lungs patient develop bronchoconstriction and this produces some symptoms like , post nasal discharge, running of nose , watery eyes , wheezing ( whistling sound , may be in your son case).
So don't be in panic .
Only terbutalin+ ambroxol syrup and teczine syrup will cure child.
Prednisolone is a steroid , I don't prescribe this to my patient until and unless some emergency.
Good luck.
Hot coffee sip by sip also act as bronchodilator.
